Mini Documentary: Sound and Music in Atari’s Film-to-Arcade Adaptations
Since the most recent iteration of the North American Conference on Video Game Music (June 2020) happened online due to the pandemic, I delivered my paper in the form of a 20-minute documentary. This video is based on my archival research at the Strong Museum of Play (Rochester, NY). Watch it here:
SMT Forward: Why I Support SMT
In 2019, I became the creative director for SMT-Forward, the Society for Music Theory’s ongoing fundraising and development initiative. In that capacity, I support the development committee’s efforts through media and communications. This video is the first product of that collaboration. SMT Development Committee Chair Alex Rehding and I interviewed a diverse group of SMT members at the annual meeting in Columbus (2019).
Derek Bok Center: Learning Lab Podcasting Workshops
As a Learning Lab Graduate Fellow at Harvard's Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning, I routinely conducted podcasting and audio journalism workshops for faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates. This is a compressed cut of one of my workshops for graduate students and instructors, given in April 2016.
SMT-V Website
Over the summer of 2018, I built a new, freestanding website for the Society for Music Theory’s new(ish) peer-reviewed video journal, SMT-V. The journal, founded in 2014, previously existed on a corner of the SMT website. The new website showcases the journal on its own. Upcoming features include keyword search and indexing in Google Scholar.
Society for American Music: Digital Lectures in American Music
During the summer and fall of 2016, I produced and edited a video lecture by my friend and colleague Monica Hershberger, which was published as a part of the Society for American Music's Digital Lectures in American Music series.
Derek Bok Center: Media Literacy and Visualization Team
As a member of the Derek Bok Center's Media Literacy, and Visualization Team, I spent the summers of 2015, 2016, and 2017 helping with one of the Center's new, ongoing projects: the Learning Lab. This large team of collaborators brings together faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates to propose, design, test, publicize, and reflect on new instructional paradigms. I made the trailer above to feature some of the events that took place during "Speaking Week"; more of the group's work can be found at learninglab.report.

Sounding China
Online exhibition catalog created for Professor Alex Rehding, showcasing the work of his Fall 2011 seminar, "Chinese Music in Enlightenment Europe." The project combined items from the Harvard library collections, multimedia explorations by seminar students, and essays by scholars in the field.

"The Snowstorm Sessions"
From January to February of 2015, Cambridge received nearly 90 inches of snow. Harvard cancelled three days of classes because of all the transit problems these successive blizzards caused. With several sections cancelled due to the storms (as well as the Presidents' Day holiday), our students in Music 2 (Introduction to Music Theory for Non-Concentrators) were missing out on their chance to review lecture topics with their TFs. So my teaching supervisor, Osnat Netzer, and I made a series of short videos to help students review lecture material and get some insight into the requirements of upcoming assignments. During the summer of 2014, I produced a series of videos for Harvard's ABLConnect project, showcasing innovative teaching practices at Harvard through interviews, advice, and sample lesson plans from professors and graduate student instructors. Christoph Wolff, Mozart at the Gateway to His Fortune
In 2016, I revamped the companion website to Christoph Wolff’s Mozart at the Gateway to His Fortune (W.W. Norton, 2012) to bring the media examples in line with HTML5 standards. [The site, not under my control, is currently offline].
Interviews and Publicity: History and Literature at Harvard
My Bok Center colleagues and I filmed and produced this promotional video for Harvard's interdisciplinary undergraduate program in History and Literature. I also wrote two pieces of original music for this video.
Derek Bok Center: Teaching Tips
Since 2012, I have been a multimedia fellow at Harvard's Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning. My colleagues and I have created many videos for the Bok Center, such as the example at right, a quick tip from my music department colleague Mike Heller.
Here's another quick tip I produced on a discussion leading technique, with graduate student Patrick Rich (Linguistics). Other examples of my work include this trailer for the 2014 Harvard Horizons Symposium.

From 2014 to 2018, I was the webmaster for the New England Conference of Music Theorists. My Tufts colleague Frank Lehman and I redesigned NECMT's logo in 2016, and I put NECMT's archives online in 2017.
The Art of Listening Course Trailer
In the Spring of 2013, I took a Graduate Seminar in General Education with Alex Rehding (Harvard University, Music) and John Hamilton (Harvard University, Comparative Literature). Our GSGE designed a new gen-ed course in the humanities, "The Art of Listening," which was taught by Prof. Rehding during the Fall 2013 semester (and in subsequent semesters). I made this course trailer for the class's initial run.
